Students who have achieved a high level of skill on their primary instrument during undergraduate study and wish to develop skills on other woodwind instruments in order to perform as a multi-instrumentalist in theater pits or studio settings seek this degree. Instruments studied within the Master of Music in Multiple Woodwinds are flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone.

Students in the Master of Music in Multiple Woodwinds degree are required to successfully complete comprehensive written and oral examinations and follow the full recital track for their culminating project, and that recital will include performance on each of the five woodwind instruments.
