The Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in music combines a broad coverage of the field of Classical music with an intensive liberal arts curriculum, which includes a minor.

Instruments of study within the Bachelor of Arts Degree are: Voice, Viola, Violin, Cello, Classical Bass, Harp, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion, Organ, Piano, and Guitar.

Students will increase their skills in their musicianship and music theory while broadening their understanding of music history, pedagogy, and literature. The degree culminates in a 25-minute recital in our McAfee Concert Hall.

Belmont offers a wide array of minors, so students have many options available to them for a minor and are able to take advantage of a Belmont music degree with a minor in another of Belmont's excellent programs.
