Admissions Checklist

Application Form: Apply Online by the deadlines listed above.

Application Fee: You must submit a $50 non-refundable application fee with your application materials.

Official Transcripts: Request official transcripts directly from all previous colleges that you have attended. These can be official hard copies, or official  electronic copies. These may only be sent via secure electronic third party (i.e. Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, etc).  Please allow 4-6 weeks for all official transcripts to be received. Electronic transcripts may be sent to belmontadmissions@belmont.edu. Hard copies should be mailed to: Belmont University, Office of Admissions, 1900 Belmont Blvd., Nashville, TN 37212.

Two Recommendations: Requests to recommending parties are made through the BU4U application portal. These are only accepted in the online application portal. We cannot accept recommendation letters separately in either hard copy or direct email.  Note: this step in the BU4U portal becomes available once the application fee has been paid.

Resume/CV: These are attached to your online application through your BU4U portal. You can upload the resume after the application fee has been paid.

International Students: International applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by submitting official TOEFL scores (required minimum of 550 PBT or 80 iBT) or by successful completion of ELS Language Center Level 112. International applicants with college level course work from foreign institutions must have their transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation service such as World Education Services or Joseph Silny & Associates. In order to be issued an I-20 for the desired entry term, international applicants must be admitted no later than June 1 in order to begin enrollment in the fall.

Application Status: Applicants are accepted on a rolling admissions pattern; thus, you will be notified of the admissions committee's decision shortly after the admissions requirements are completed. To check on the status of your application, check your BU4U account. After being accepted to Belmont, you will submit a nonrefundable enrollment deposit of $150 ($3,000 for international students), payable to Belmont University. This deposit will be applied to the first semester charges.
