Public Health - BSPH

The BSPH is the degree of choice for people who are interested in studying infectious or chronic disease, environmental health, global health or health and disease patterns and trends. Public health experts are problem solvers and enjoy the challenges associated with fighting diseases and developing prevention programs. They are advocates for their communities, whether local or global, educating about the benefits of public health to improve society.

Public health graduates are in high demand.  Job opportunities are abundant and expected to grow in the years ahead.  And the opportunities are diverse, such as working in government or schools to educate the public about healthy choices or analyzing health statistics in private companies or local organizations to create policy and develop health care programs. There are many avenues to pursue.

As a public health major at Belmont, you will work with interdisciplinary teams of students and professional colleagues in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, social work and health care administration to improve the conditions and behaviors that contribute to better health for all.
