There is a place for you in the Department of Psychological Science at Belmont University. Our goal is to help you develop intellectually and personally, as you refine your career goals and graduate school aspirations. In joining the Belmont Psychology community, you will find exciting opportunities to work in stimulating internship placements, to conduct your own independent research, and to apply the findings of psychological science in the service of helping others.

The Psychology Department at Belmont University hosts a vibrant learning community. The faculty is dedicated and enthusiastic, offering a range of learning opportunities both inside and outside the traditional classroom, including research experiences, community internships, and using computer and online technologies. The psychology major has been developed in the tradition of liberal arts that emphasizes scientific education. The psychology curriculum is designed both to prepare students for post graduate study in psychology and to develop a deeper understanding of human behavior. An active Psi Chi and Psychology Club provide students with opportunities to engage in numerous academic and service activities.
